Going in and out of dimension makes LODs not load again
Im currently running a modpack, so far ive generated a bunch of chunks using chunky, and the world honestly looks astonishing, however, i while generating world on other dimensions, i noticed something. Going in and out of dimension unloads the LODs and makes it so they dont load again until a world rejoin. mod list on latest.log https://mclo.gs/QXLTcOR using RC2

must be some mod incompatibility

Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
or you can wait for someone to maybe recognize a problematic mod you have
for now I can tell that Immersive portals couses same bug
but IDK if you use it
nope no immersive portals
ill try binary search tomorrow, starting with optimization mods

seems to be a cpu overload thing, since it has to load too much, it gives up, unless i put it on whole cpu mode
do agressive, I paid for the whole CPU loads lods so quuiclky if forgets to display them
seems to work only with whole cpu
