And how much ram did you allocate?
3 GB
If I add more ram frame drops
I tried adding upto 8gb ram
But performance is coming best at 3gb
Distant horizons requires alot of ram, it just makes your fps faster.
The reason there's more performance drop on high ram is because it starts utilizing more of the ram but on low ram it just dumps the chunks that it can't render properly
(I think, I have no idea what Im talking about and just going on based on what I know about how ram allocation on jvm works)
if you allocate too little ram, the java garbage collector will hate you
Java gc's are the only garbage collectors that like having a huge space to work with
yeah I allocated 6 now performace is really good
like but I increased it after like ram usuage was 90%
Reduce chunk lod distance
6-7gb allocated ain't getting above 64
6-7 is good probably for 256 or more
I am running 200 chunks with shaders
Wait really?
yeah
ddr4?
after version (I think) 2.0.3 it uses very little RAM
oh
I guess it's just my gpu:cou:
I used 12 GB for RD of 1024 and had some headroom
my issue was like this thing will suddenly pop up I dont have constant lag it comes like a lag spike then disappears with errors but the game never crashed
since I have increased ram I have not faced the same problem again
