Temp reading is wrong?
So my 3.1 printer committed suicide the other day and I came hone to the glob of Death. My extruder could not be saved so I decided to take the opportunity to upgrade to the BETA2 tool head. Now that I'm finished putting it together, I finally fired up the printer and Klipper and my extruder temp is reading 158° despite having not even tried to heat up my hot end. Before noticing this, I tried to heat it up and got a shutdown due to "extruder not heating at expected rate." But my hot end is cold to the touch, yet still reads this high temp. Any idea what I did wrong?

sensor_type: pt1000
But first, post your printer.cfg and confirm what hotend you've got
or faulty connection, ask me how I know.
Not sure what you meant when you said "sensor_type: pt1000" as I am not a very tech savvy person. Had a lot of help setting this thing up to begin with. And how do I post the printer.cfg? I've double checked it and I did need to update my extruder but I'm still using the same rapido I've had.
Lol how do you know? And then how would I know if it's the same issue?
by "post" i mean put your printer.cfg here as a file so others can review it
Hope I'm doing this right lol
Would have been better to just post the file instead of a zip, but I got it
Sorry about that
Alright, see towards the bottom there is a "USER OVERRIDES" section? And under that there is a [fan] section?
Under that, put in
So it'll look something like this:
Got it
It's fixed! I have no idea what that did but its reading correctly! Thank you!!
it told klipper what kind of temp sensor is on the hotend
There are different kinds that report differetn number depending on the temp. That setting let s it know how to translate it
Awesome! Thanks! New problem now but that'll be in another post if I cant figure it out myself.
I just ran into the exact same problem, thanks for the fix!
