Not rendering LODs further than a set distance
I have generated all chunks around me in a 4096x4096 circle, and can confirm that they are loaded and the DH LODs have been created, but they do not render for some reason, even with the DH render distance set to 512. They load when I get closer to them, but then unload when I return to my starting place. The DH chunks seem to be loaded in a circle smaller than the set DH render distance.

Yes, I generated in a circle in 4096x4096, and confirmed that the chunks were loaded by flying to them.
so if you set it to generate a circle with radius 4096, it is actually 256 chunks

that doesnt explain the lod unloading
Ok, I was wrong about something. DH render distance is set to 256, so 4096x is actually the correct distance.
hhmm, what happens if you set the DH render distance to something higher, like 512 or 1024, does it still unload lods?
Yep, same radius as well.
Maybe there's a mod incompatibility?
Doesn't seem to be any incompatibilities. Still does the same thing with most mods disabled. Also doesn't work with shaders disabled.

I just realised a new RC was released yesterday. I'll try that and see if it fixes it.

lower presets have lower RD somehow

I had it on Extreme but I had tweaked a few settings. I reset it and now it seems to be working, so just had a bad setting somewhere.
"LOD Dropoff Distance" seems to reduce the max render distance of LOD chunks if changed to a lower value than "Extreme"
I think lower quality lods have bigger chunks, and when those bigger chunk try to fit inside the RD circle you end up with bigger holes on the edge
Yeah, I'll try playing around with it because I don't think my laptop can handle that high of a setting.
