@Miki_P98
is there any other info that'd be needed?
yee... sorry
I made a typo typing commad
/logstored
and wrote /lodstored
oh, so the log?
yeah...
again sorry
no you're so fine
I really appreciate the help
but the fact that the database is there is a good sign
/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Do the second part
and send logs
check #faq-mod-support for incompatibilites
alright
so 1 and 2?
check cpu and then go to dh settings?
you can do 1, but the debug wireframe is the most important
ok, did that
the most recent log?
yes
the one called
latest.log
lol, funny how obvious it was
I was looking at all the zips
idk if it's working cause I have it set to the highest and the cpu usage is minimal still
Aplly Alexe's caves fix form #faq-mod-support
thank you, I did that and now I'm waiting for the ol' forge to start up
THANK YOU SO MUCH
it worked!
huzzah!
@Miki_P98 dumb question
people have gotten shaders to work with this mod, yeah?
yes
you can find compatible shaders in Iris DC https://discord.com/channels/774352792659820594/1203904707270279208
awesome!
bonus question @Miki_P98
how do I stop that from happening
I'm using photon shaders
Check if Photon has a setting called overdraw prevention
if yes you can play with it
if no you need to increase vanilla chunk loading speed, for this you can:
- install Noisium mod
- install C2ME mod (remember about the fix from #faq-mod-support )
- decrease vanilla RD
- play with chunk loading threads in Embeddium settings (I don't remember if you need embedium++ for this seting or not)
Or:
- increase vanilla RD in hope you won't notice this, when circle will be further from your position
it's while I'm standing still
the circle just dont match up with the squares sometimes
That doesn't change much, it is still overdraw prevention, and with shaders on the shader is in controll of it
you can try different shader
alr
@Miki_P98 do you know what would be causing this?
the black beams are supposed to be shine beams
but they get colored dark for some reason
... what beams?
I would guess the shader
