How to wear khaki chinos?
Everytime I wear khaki chinos I feel like I'm cosplaying 1950s ivy leauge student.

a lot is going to come down to pairing. how would you like to look?
for reference, the same pair of chinos all from the past month. wearing sneakers instead of loafers, t-shirts instead of button downs, more unusual colors or shapes, these can help counter the more traditional nature of the chinos
I feel like khaki chinos are besides dark wash denim the most milquetoast pants option. There’s barely anything you can’t pair them with.
If you feel like you dress like a 1950s college student try to go more casual with T-shirts instead of shirts maybe? Do an exciting sneaker too!
I love wearing OCBDs, casual blazers and chore coats. I find that navy chinos look much better for this style.
imo there's not much of a separation between 'ocbd + casual blazer or chore coat' and 50s college ivy league student, as take ivy showed
I definitely agree with fun sneakers. My red sneakers look good with khaki chinos.
You can criticize khaki chinos as boring, but that also makes them very versatile. As others have pointed out, you can pair them with pretty much anything. Wear them with something fun.
Tie dye. Hawaiian shirts. Colors. Fun shoes.
Khakis are stupid versatile. Look at #waywt-highlights or #apr2024-top-waywt or https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1224885698138607759
I don’t want to tag them but you can also search in waywt from fits for any of:

Me in khaki chinos
Other than like extremely avant garde/goth/punk stuff I have a hard time thinking of things that don’t mesh easily with khakis.
