I love Aloha shirts! Typically I style with a white rib tank and either untucked and fully unbuttoned, or tucked, but barely buttoned. Currently, I’m rocking the Blue Blue Japan Sakura print. I want this pineapple Sun Surf One top: https://hinoya.shop/en-us/collections/sun-surf/products/dk39045

Tbh I feel like these came and went again. They also make me look pretty consistently very dorky.

I love floral shirts, and colorful shirts in general, but I find I don't like things with too much of an "Island" theme. It feels affected to me.

Aloha shirts are wonderful, I love how they look and the multicultural history they represent, I can't get enough... Don't think I've really done fit pics in them but it's getting warmer so let's go! I also haven't worn them tucked often but clearly that is the way it was done https://alittlebitofrest.com/2017/05/06/casual-summer-style-with-aloha-shirts/ so would be nice to go in that direction! I think the simple floral/fish/other wildlife patterns, often with few colors (just 2 works!) that were first popular in Hawaii are probably the best place to start. And the pocket matching the print is nice. (Btw the locally made 'aloha' shirts in Hawaii are not always camp collars, there's lots of button downs and point collars... :AmeliaSmugSmol:) And personally I think I've found it not hard to find aloha shirts, even specifically made in Hawaii classic ones, on eBay at good prices, but even more so in person 😛 Like, if anything they're one of the few items that's always there?

I rather like some of the aloha shirts from Okinawa https://www.myokinawastory.com/kariyushi-wear/?r https://www.asahi.com/sp/ajw/articles/photo/46164049 (some time I should pick out notable ones from media/friends for inspo)

NAHA--After a rocky start, Kariyushi wear (the Okinawan version of the Hawaiian shirt) has become unique formal summer attire in the southernmost prefecture.
