no idea what im doing wrong, allocated 8gb of ram, 128 lod distance, balanced cpu load
16 render distance
everytime i move i get constant stutters and drops to 5 or lower fps
it is witout shaders?
yes
do you have any other mods? (other than DH, iris and Sodium)
no its clean install
Does performance fix itself after waiting a bit and moving around (to generate chunks and lods in the close proximity)?
not really, ive been standing still for a while and when i move it begins to stutter and stuff
I would say 16 vanilla RD is high for only 128 DH RD
try decreasing it to 12/8
to help with transition increase noise texture in DH settings (e.g. steps 8, strength 16.0)
decrease cpu load temporarely to minimal impact to see if it helps
.
What CPU do you have?
How much RAM do you have in the system?
You can try changing your JAVA GC to 'Z' or shenago...something
try using newest nightely, if you're not already
5900x 16gb
even at 128 all 8 render it stutters like crazy
what does the fps graph look like?
no idea how to pull it up
well the fps graph looks like alot of red spikes
can you try relaunching minecraft?
ive done that multiple times, thats not the issue for sure
but sure
what does the pie chart say? ive never used it but it may be helpfull in this case
moment
and your DH settings are default or close to default?
all default
very weird
maybe there is something in the logs?
/logsstored?
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
i doubt it though
.minecraft?
if you didnt change the install location its at C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming.minecraft
that one yes
latest?
yes
its all gamerenderer in there
can you send it?
im trying xd
it doesnt want to
ah yes, i forgot i had terralith and tectonic, could those affect my fps?
probably not
then idk
i did a clean install and just added those two
didnt change anything
allocated 8gb
all i have
i dont see anything weird in logs. except that gamerenderer of course, but i think that is just DH complaining everything takes to long
i have no idea, sorry
understandable
bruh
even base minecraft lags and stutters
maybe its just the version itself is bad at optimization
try another clean install maybe?
lemme nuke the .minecraft folder beforehand
same result
welp guess minecraft isnt for me
thanks for trying
Try installing different JAVA, e.g. Adoptium instead of Oracle or the other way around
Also do an anti-virus scan just in case
look at your task manager, mayby something in background hates you very much
