Black sections of ice even after loading terrain

I've done a couple reinstalls of DH. I have no mods except the fabric api, DH, sodium, indium and iris. For some reason, I get these solid black areas even after going into and out of the render distance. I have no shaders or resource packs. This was just a straight test before going on to trying shaders out. Everything else works great. I've played around with a few settings, but nothing worked so I ended up resetting everything back to default high. The black spots disappear when I move into render distance. This was in single player. I haven't had any issues with crashing so far, if that helps.

Solution:
This is a known bug involving transparent blocks, like water. There is nothing you can do to fix it except turn off transparency

Here are some comparison images. I didn't want to flood the main post with anything that would take away from what the actual issue looked like, but figured I should show a few more areas for reference. First is in render, second are some more black sections in the distance and third is just what the rest of the terrain looks like for me.

What DH version are you using? Are there any transparent/non-full blocks where black spots occur? (e.g. water, ladders)

currently 2.0.4 I believe I was using a 1.0 version before but I can't remember which. They both had the same issue. That fixed it thank you!
