for shoes do I need to go the loafer/dress shoe way or can I break it up with some like NBs or other sneakers

Grey herringbone is a staple of theirs and they have like decades of inspi to pull from
not necessarily herringbone, but grey flannel trousers. pretty versatile

there are lighter weight tweeds and non-wool tweeds that are worth looking into if you want a "these pants but summer" vibe

it's an interesting idea to juxtapose the herringbone with whatever your hot boy summer looks like but yeah it'll be a scorcher
I may be neurotic and delusional but the visual weight of wool vs linen looks weird to me

wool blends would help - that yellow blazer is wool/linen/flax/silk and is fairly comfortable but has the effect of a tweed

i feel like the margiela look could be a way to marry the herringbone pants to summer, depends on your willingness to free your clavicle
