Did you extract the .zip?
yes
i got the jar file out of the two folders
The merged one or the fabric only one?
or forge only
i just clicked the last link
i am on fabric
details, mayby it was a misclick
Yes I get you clicked the link
You downloaded a zip file and extracted that file right?
it gave me fabric/build/libs/DistantHorizons-fabric-2.0.4-a-dev-1.20.4.jar
Yup
so i took the jar file and replaced my old dh jar file
my old one being DistantHorizons-fabric-2.0.2-a-dev-1.20.4.jar

maybe try the merged one?
where/how?
Oh wait, hasn't the latest commit failed to build? Maybe thats the reason
@MarijnIsN00B (UTC+1) why there is no merged one?
Because the commit failed to build
Yeah Forge was having trouble building
But that doesnt matter in this case
I dont see DH being loaded into the game at all
Please send a screenshot of your mods folder
Task :fabric:remapJar FAILED
In the log of the build from the latest commit.Oh lol
Yeah then it brokey I guess
@Ninjasnakeyes Heres a link to the second latest commit which should work fine https://gitlab.com/jeseibel/distant-horizons/-/jobs/6821082991/artifacts/download
Thnx Majo
so it was the file itself that was the probleM?
Yea, the file should be the problem
ic ok thanks!

Not sure if its the issue, but try updating iris to the latest from modrinth
ok so i just did and this showed up
Click
Don't show again
Auto Updaters a bit broken, so its best to not use itok. also, not sure if it's just loading stuff really slowly, but nothing seems to be happening save for a couple loaded DH chunks
Try increasing
CPU Load
in DH Settingsthat seemed to do the trick
however, another question i had
on single player, the DH chunks seem to be very low quality appearing in large voxels, whereas when i play on a server, they seem to look much better
why is that?
Not sure, but you could try increasing Quality Preset in DH settings
that didn't help before. it just looked the same
also, now there are chunks that just don't seem to load
Not sure about that stuff, will have to wait for someone who knows more about this
about which?
About both
ic ok. thanks anyways
yea seems that the strips of chunks not loading problem is still happening
You need to delete your old LOD files for stripes that are created by previous versions to go away
Where can I find the LOD files for single player worlds?
/lodfile
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
@James Seibel (GMT-6) @Puhpine So it seems that it's taking much loner to regenerate the DH chunks than the first time now that I've deleted the old LOD files
