Very high CPU Temp/Usage
I’ve determined it’s not a hardware issue because other heavy games (cyberpunk path tracing) don’t result in my cpu sitting at 100c. Idk what it could be because I even changed the DH settings to minimal and my cpu still runs hot

What is the cpu usage like with the minimal setting?
And what is the cpu?
And how much ram did you allocate?
What is the RD (both vanilla and DH)?
because cyberpunk with even path tracing does not use cpu 🤣
if that's one of the strongest cpus of intel then 100C is normal i guess
ray tracing is heavier on the cpu than raster is
yeah but it is not using cpu as much as dh right

It’s at 90-100% at all times, 14700k, 8gb ram
12 vanilla and the default 128 on dh
then I don't see a problem

You can undervolt you cpu or upgrade your cooler
I don’t wanna mess with my parts cause everything else works fine

90-100 percent at all times, even at the lowest cpu load setting is not expected behavior. Can you try to make a fresh new instance with just DH?
generating chunks with DH would go up to 300% if it could
If you put cpu load at "I paid for the cpu", I guess it would
thx i made a new instance using the iris installer, it seems to have fixed the high temps when im on minimal impact now, but anything higher still runs too hot
but the chunk loading is very slow
and chunks disappear behind me sometimes
using the extreme quality preset has no downsides at least
