Is multiverse broken in 2.0.4?
Is multiverse broken in the latest dev update? It worked in 2.0.3, but ever since I migrated, it seems to not recognize old world folders in the same dimension and always creates new ones. Setting multiverse to as low as 0.05 has no effect.

@James Seibel (GMT-6) might be worth investigating
Delete your old DH server data and reboot.
Nothing has been changed so it's probably just multiverse support being partially broken like always.
That was the first thing I did but same result.
The server data starts out empty and creates 2 new worlds every time I join 2 worlds in the server. While I had similar problems in the past, they were fixed by setting a multiverse value of 0.2 or 0.1. After migration, however, no value works.
backup old sqlite file and test with fresh file ig
Wdym test with fresh file?
I'm not testing this with old files or anything like that: I'm just letting DH generate world files for the server and observe that it never tries to reuse them despite multiverse being enabled.
I'll take a look later
I can't reproduce your issue.
Multiverse is working as expected for me in MC 1.20.2 with both Forge and Fabric.
I'm on 1.20.4
I don't expect MC version matters.
Are you using other mods?
I'll re-update all the relevant mods and try again just in case
I am, but it all worked before I updated to the 2.0.4 where the migration was required.
Assuming you did delete all the old LOD files the migration shouldn't affect anything.
This is my current mod list
...this may take a while.
I'm not sure how a mod could cause multiverse to fail like that, that's very interesting. Although I'm not familiar with all of those mods either.
My guess is that maybe some of the performance mods are messing with the map before DH reads it and thus it appears different every time? I'll just nuke the list and see
Potentially, thanks for checking!
Just tested it with the absolute minimum and the same result.
Setting the multiverse value to 0.01 doesn't change it either.
Those are all client side only mods...
Can you test without those mods?
I can only remove Iris; DH requires Indium, which requires Sodium.
Same result without Iris.
DH doesn't require indium, indium is only needed if you have sodium
Oh, I see.
Still nothing.
Does that server have anti cheat or something?
It has an anti-xray mechanic that spawns ores only when you're in range, but that's only in the main world. The lobby is just a small, floating island.
It worked in 2.0.3 perfectly, but stopped working after the save changes
Hm, I'm having trouble with this too
After updating
I configured Multiverse today and had this problem as well
It's annoying because I have to keep deleting folders that were created by mistake, maybe I should disable Multiverse temporarily
For me, it just doesn't load any new lods anymore when I rejoin the server or switch dimensions
I noticed that too: when I go to another area and come back, I can see the sqlite file expanding, but don't see any new LODs.
It seems that if I delete all the data from a server and create new one from the main dimension; if I switch dimensions or leave the server, the mod will just create new lods and not reuse the old ones. I followed what a member of the server did and if you just log out and in the server enough times while deleting the useless new lods folders, eventually in one of the rejoins it will use the actual useful folder instead of creating a new one
Odd enough, but it seems to be the only way to make it work
It still has some important visual bugs, I don't know if it's related to this multiverse break or if it's just a thing of a nightly build
btw i set the value to 0.1
Also that, above 0.5 it just creates infinite folders, I have it on 0.2 and it takes some folders but eventually gets it
try to load the newest nightly build, it looks working fine now
2.0.4?
Tested it with 2.1 and multiverse is still broken. Even 0.01 causes it to create a new world folder every time.
the version number of the nightly build is not 2.1
Oh it's the 2.1 candidate

that candidate version has the same problem
Kinda forgot about this but I tested it on the current nightly build and it's still broken.
