Extremely large performance hit when looking in certain direction

I was playing normally when out of nowhere my FPS dropped from 144 (about 100 with Bliss Shader) to only 30-40 (even worse with shaders). The strange thing is that this would only happen when I looked in a certain direction. Restarting Minecraft or reloading the LODs didn´t work.

DH 2.0.4 nightly Iris 1.7.0 stable 128 chunks, high quality, low CPU impact

This is expected behavior. It just means the geometry in that direction is more complicated and therefore slower to render.

what quality preset you're using oh high

Okay, thanks. I was just wondering because this never happened before if I looked down there, even with shaders

you can go into render quality settings and set lod dropoff distance to medium vertical quality you can set it to very high

ok I`ll try that

the first settings more demanding for rendering

also, disable v-sync if you want to limit fps, you external fps limiter for better result mc v-sync's bad
