DaVinci resolve, my videos look blurry or pixelated when the FPS games have a lot of movement
Okay so I'm using the resolve 18 studio
I've tried MP4 and QuickTime and everything else
H264 or h265
I normally upload in 4K,
I haven't tried messing with the look ahead frames or the AQ string which you'll see I changed in this photo but haven't actually tried yet but something in the settings obviously isn't right cuz just about every video looks fine until the game gets moving around pretty good and then everything gets blurry
I asked on Reddit but most of the time they don't know much about the gaming stuff over there.
I have watched some of the epos vox videos he's made recently but he has boxes checked or different settings than I have for some reason so I can't really set mine up the way his is because it's different than when I have for some reason. The settings available don't match mine

it helps to provide examples of your content
also your framerate is set to 30 fps instead of 60, which is the norm for gameplay
Here is a photo of what my face looks like in the bottom corner of the screen after there's movement on the game
That's what it looks like on my television which looks worse than when you view it on a PC or a phone screen but it looks really bad on the television
What I've been trying 30 frames per second I've been trying 60 frames per second and I still get the same results

There is the video I made today I think I uploaded this one in 30 frames per second, I like I said it doesn't matter if I do 30 or 60 it does the same thing I just been changed and everything around on each video hoping to find one that doesn't do this
Now the original recording that comes off of OBS looks way better than the render I get off of resolve
my ob settings
GG @Danny Lightning, you just advanced to level 1 !
that is a phot of the video playing at 1080p on my pc, you can see its a litle blury
You have “Use Proxy Media” checked
In the export settings
Which means it’s using the low res/low quality copies to create the final video
Instead of the original recording
That’s probably the main culprit
i don't normally have that one checked, was going to see what that did for tomorrows video
i think epox vox said to check that
normally only that top box has been checked
maybe i checked the wrong box whem watching his video
ok he had them all checked except for that one
I definitely did not say to check that lol
oh that's u lol, u jump back and forth a bit in that video, was a little hard to follow lol
i see i messed that one up,, its a good video but some of the settings u have seem to be different than mine
at this part i did not have what u had
so i just left that as it was
Won’t affect your export anyway
thanks, so everything looks ok?? i appreciate you looking at it for me
thanks for making all the videos too, lots of good info
GG @Danny Lightning, you just advanced to level 2 !
this is probably a dumb question but 11 MBPS upload speed would not cause a low quality upload would it. when trouble shooting you kind of have to look at everything
Honestly, with how much is going on in your gameplay, you're not going to get much better than this
might be worth recording in HEVC instead of H264 and perhaps upscaling to 4K in OBS instead of editing
Or record in AV1 if your GPU can encode it
Thanks, I appreciate the advice. this drive sme crazy, i think i have some ocd lol
i'll try hevc and see what that does, i have 2 gaming channels and a audio channel and my goal is try to look and sound as good as possible.. but i might just have do deal with it if that is the case.. thanks..
From the original blurry photo, I couldn't even tell he had a beard. Thought he just had two black tufts 😄
It's kind of weird huh lol
