Doing violence to a navy blazer
Just a stupid idea i am having rn. I often come across blazers when thrifting that fit in principle but the sleeves are to short. Is it in theory possible to just remove the entire arm of a blazer and turn it into a waistcoat/blazer hybrid thingy? Has anyone ever tried that?
Please tell me why this is a stupid idea 🤣

I should add that I pictured a double breasted blazer with brass buttons
If it's an unstructured blazer it may look more normal
I've seen waistcoats with lapels before
If the shoulders are structured with padding I think it'll look kinda funny
That said, if you get a blazer for low cost second hand... YOLO?
I think the real question is how much money are you willing to throw down the toilet if you end up not liking it?
I'm intrigued by this idea bc I have orangutan arms and keep running into this, too

This blazer is in acute danger
Although i should propably get something less structured and less nice.
We will see. If I end up not liking it as is I might ask a friend who is a tailors apprentice to do some surgery
Blazers are cheap if you just want something
I was hoping this is about r/navyblazer
I will certainly post any results there :xd:
