Recommendations for quality t-shirts between $20-$50? Inspired by Forty Five Supima Crew T-Shirt.
I got this Forty Five Supmia Crew T-Shirt for Christmas and have loved it. Once I put it on, I could immediately tell that this was a level up from my previous favorite Goodfellow from Target. Since then, I have been trying to reduce my shirts to only have a few t-shirts around Forty Five's quality. I would like some help finding more t-shirts around the $20-$50 range to have a nice rotation of colors.
I am 34 years old, 5'10", and weigh approximately 175lbs. I like the more athletic fit (more fitted than classic/regular but not as tight as slim) where the sleeves are closer to mid-bicep and the stomach has a bit of room for my fat gut. Below are a few other t-shirts I have tried. I bought these on my own and was not involved in any promotion or review.
Bylt Lux (medium) - I liked the look of them on their site and thought the price point was fine. Unfortunately, I am not keeping it. The shirt felt kind of itchy compared to the Forty Five. The fit above my stomach was good, but it was too tight around my stomach. And not just a tiny bit tight, but very noticeably tight.
Outerknown (medium) - This is on par with the Forty Five in comfort and look. The fabric is a bit thinner but the collars are solidly made. I also love the collar on the end of the sleeve. It lets the shoulder's have a bit of room while still tight around my bicep. Only downside is that it is too expensive at $58, so I will be keeping only this one unless they go on sale.
7 Diamonds (medium) - I really like this one. The fit is nice and I like the color options. Bad news is that customer service said that they are phasing out this particular shirt.
A few other shirts I want to try are from Proto101, Wyr, and Steel City.

Why don’t you buy more of the ones you like?
Asket are pretty good, for the upper end of your budget (I think they are fifty bucks)
I hear they do different lengths too
I’ve had luck with Uniqlo U. I’m 5’9” 165ish and have had luck with a M to avoid a boxy fit.
Also Huckberry has the forty five supima shirt on sale for $31
Velvasheen twin packs.
Unfortunately, the Forty Five brand is being replaced by something called Flint and Tinder. They don't use the same cotton and reviews have been saying that they aren't as good anymore. I also wanted to try something new. I think once I find a really good one that is more affordable than the Outerknown, then I may buy a few.
I do see that sale, but none of the colors I like are in medium.
