When you have not played for two years, that malicious individual had enough time to log in daily so his device is now considered often used.
You likely have had weak login credentials or have fallen for one of many scams out there.
To keep your next account save remember to enable 2FA and don’t give anyone your credentials (including friends). Only the offical login screen ingame should ever see them. 😄

Read the tos, you own nothing. If you spend money see it as thrown out of the window, but with that the you can’t pick it back up if you go out.

The entire community is messed up, every lobby I get in there is someone who just wasted 50-500+ dollars and ist happy/proud about it for 10 seconds till the realisation hits him

I can only say it again. Read the terms of service for once. Is is long and don’t really cool but you are surprised what you find there. It was the first time I found out in the us you are unable to sue them. EU law is a bit more strict, but in the end we all agreed to have no right over our account. As EU member I only can rely on the GDPR. I am looking forward to what they have stored about me.
Try this in your next lobby ingame:
If some has payed for a skin, ask them how much they spend and set it in relation to something common like a mc Donald’s meal. They will likely fast change the topic if your even able to get the true amount they spend out of them.
