I am currently developing a very dangerous and unhealthy (because stuff is expensive) obsession over Husbands Paris, so I needed a place where I can shout my obsession into the void, aka the internet.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) the only RTW Jacket they currently have in that pattern (I think this jacket is single breasted) is in a fabric that I find very unappealing

I just realized something:
Ive been lightly planning on getting a jacket made based on this once i have the money to do so
this is my "we have husbands at home" fit lol. I never noticed xD
same! Paris is only a few hours by train away from me to begin with
every time I see Images of that man I have to stare respectfully
That being said i am considerably more widely built so I am unsure how that fit would look on me.

Only way to know is to go by measurements. Its a very narrow fit in the shoulders so theres a good chance youll need to get what fits there and tailor down the rest.

What is really annoying is that they have finished Buttonholes on their jackets. So you also have to be careful not to take anything too long or that is going to be a pain.
I think I am not brave enough to order a suit jacket from them online. At least not during the archive sale where I can't return it.
searching for "husbands paris" on ebay with no additional filter is a bad idea 0/10 do not recommend

I think Husbands is really good at doing tailoring but adding just the right amount of edgyness/drama to it
Also I like that a lot of their stuff feels really androgynous in a way that tickles my gender senses
Yeah i think of husbands as like the coolest a classic suit can be without being overly fashiony
The flared/wide legs, strong shoulders, and wide lapels are really sharp and elegant details
You should also look at edward sexton! He was the business partner of tommy nutter back in the 70s. He passed last year but his tailoring house is still alive and strong.
i like the styling choices they do (horse bit loafers, boots, repp stripe ties, mismatched leathers) - it feels like a conscious departure from being straight 70s inspo
