360 image not working
Hello, I just dropped a 360 image in the background folder. Unfortunately it does not open, I used an insta360 photo file (jpg)

Can you send me it (DM it if you prefer)? I'll test it at my end and report back.
Itβs a photo 360 export from the insta360 studio.
when you say "it does not open" - what happens?
Ah. I see the problem. I only noticed this recently - there are two max image size settings hardcoded into Open Brush. One is "if the image is bigger than this then scale it down".
The other is "if the image is bigger than this then refuse to load it".
I think you're hitting the latter limit here.
it's 33,4 mb ind
this is what is shows, a cross
oh a bit dark π
Let me check what the limit is. I think 6144 wide is fine
so 6144 x 3072 ?
this where the insta settings
thats cool that worked! Thank you !
Thanks for spotting it. I need to make that work better.
Opening up some ideas π
if you want a complete debugs list, when you change environments, while having selected, with some environment settings, you have to reselect the image again
That's kinda sorta by design. Or rather - the whole way environments work needs a rethink now we have background images as separate things you can change.
I already made a start on this but hit a roadblack related to Quest Passthrough so it's a bit stalled for now until @mikesky can help me figure out the underlying problem.
Ey! I just tried to upload two images, with the instructions from above and both of them are not working. Any ideas what I do wrong?
@andybak
@andybak Any ideas, I have tried it again, with different (lower) settings, but not picking it up. File is around 10mb, used the wide settings you earlier mentioned
above 10, is the limit 10mb?
this was a nice conversation with myself, the limit is 10 π
thank you! π
Hi. Sorry - I missed this first time round! Taking a look now.
not needed, it's sovele, I know now that 10mb is the max π
