x axis and y move together

Hello i'm new to core xy this is my first build ever and I have a motion problem. When I try to home all axis the print head move along the y axis. What could be the cause of this problem ?

Thats looks mostly normal, what happens if you move the carriage using the controls in klipper? If you move in X does Y move a little?

it move a lot actually. When I try to move the X axis, the Y move with it and same if I try to move only the Y

Ratrig is a CoreXY machine, you need to use CoreXY kinematics. Can you post your printer.cfg?

here's a better video to show the issue

And all those moves were just in X, but got a little Y along for the ride hm?

I only moved the x yes But if I try to do the same with Y then the X move with it too

printer.cfg looks fine to my eye. The X and Y motors are identical?

They should, It's the ratrig kit without any change

With a CoreXY printer, to move only in X or only in Y, both motors have to turn. This is acting like one of them isn't turning the right amount if you move in Y, do you get a little X, or a lot of X movement?

well it seem a lot to me after the home, the ratos page say it's supposed to be at 250 x and 250 Y which is clearly not the case

I was curious if it would move MORE in x than y when attempting to just move y. That would have pointed to a single motor being wrong. But that doesn't seem to be the case

just jumping in on this, are the motor grub screws tight?

If they weren't, wouldn't you expect the issue to be more in one axis than another? This seems symmetrically bad

that or something is binding it would stand to reason something could be binding actually, to move in y direction only there is a m1-m2 or m1+m2 kind of relationship, if one of those isnt giving as much movement then you will see some "diagonal" movement

I can't check for now :/ due to the size of the printer it's not in my house. What is binding ?

Now I need to make the mesh flat, for now it's not but there's a guide on ratrig website
