Jer
Jer11mo ago

MODSTAR
MODSTAR11mo ago
Are you mad
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
^yea i feel like that too lol .-.wtf
Jer
Jer11mo ago
no, you're just wrong bro
MODSTAR
MODSTAR11mo ago
Try to play at 60 hz monitor You will know
Jer
Jer11mo ago
what? I'm just trying to ask this guy's problem, why are you asking his monitor
MODSTAR
MODSTAR11mo ago
Because monitor is issue
Jer
Jer11mo ago
@Lun does it usually drop like that? or only happened to that match?
MODSTAR
MODSTAR11mo ago
If its 60 hz But its 144
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
same i also have the problem
Jer
Jer11mo ago
nope, not related
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
every game in general tbh
MODSTAR
MODSTAR11mo ago
Bro your crazy , you have the same issue and you will fix his problem?
Jer
Jer11mo ago
turns out I dont cuz it only happened to me once and it happened to my entire team which is weird, I asked val support they also can't recreate it

soemone said that if u have a nvidia gpu go back to the driver version 537 the frame drops were reduced but they were still there and i had a lot of input delay the thing which solved it for me was lowering my res and i capped my fps to 70
Jer
Jer11mo ago
turn on rawInputBuffer in settings
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
it was already enabled
Jer
Jer11mo ago
nvidia reflex ? put it on "on + boost"
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
i think its on 'on' rn
Jer
Jer11mo ago
use + boost
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
ok
Jer
Jer11mo ago
u play with fullscreen right?
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
yes
Jer
Jer11mo ago
find the valorant .exe, should be on this directory if you use default directory: C:\ Riot Games\ VALORANT\ live
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
is this a frame drop fix im confused...
Jer
Jer11mo ago
then right click on valorant. exe properties -> compatibility
Jer
Jer11mo ago
then check this box, then apply

screen optimisation? oh
Jer
Jer11mo ago
no, lol sry what ur gpu?
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
i enabled it but then when i want to tab out of val it doesnt let me so i disabled it but does it really help if it does ill turn it back on
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
brand or entirely
Jer
Jer11mo ago
entirely well reduce tabbing out, it makes your game fps drops too
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
rtx 3070 ti
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
ok ill enable it again ty
Jer
Jer11mo ago
okay something isn't right if that gpu fps drops
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
EEXACCTLY i thought it was my cpu idefk
Jer
Jer11mo ago
I guess you're on around 400fps ?
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
i just also st arted overclocking and idk if its any better wym
Jer
Jer11mo ago
how much it drops?
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
well i cap it at 141 cuz of gsync and it goes to like
Jer
Jer11mo ago
oh
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
135 128 and instantly goes back like normal
Jer
Jer11mo ago
do you put your graphics on max?
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
lolno u think gsync is the reason for fps drops
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
isnt that normal or its just me 🥲
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
hell na
Jer
Jer11mo ago
not normal for 3070 lol
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
you need to keep ur frames 141 or 144
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
oh lol
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
or for u 70 never for it to go down
Jer
Jer11mo ago
i don't think so if you turn off gsync, 3070 should easily gives 400 fps dropping to 128 isn't right okay try disable your gsync first
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
uuuuggghh here we go brb
mythea
mythea11mo ago
gsync won't cap ur fps but if u have ultra low latency or reflex on while using gsync it will cap ur fps under monitor refresh rate like 3-6hz for optimal latency it's also best to cap ur fps to not more than ur monitor refresh rate if u use gsync
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
ya thats why i do 141
mythea
mythea11mo ago
and it's usual to see frame drops during a fight obv becuz heavier loads
Jer
Jer11mo ago
3070 bro 3070 128fps?
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
but he 3070 xd
Jer
Jer11mo ago
nah bro
mythea
mythea11mo ago
val is more cpu intensive
TurboGlitch
TurboGlitch11mo ago
true
mythea
mythea11mo ago
3070 is overkill for val btw if u play on all low
Jer
Jer11mo ago
yeah but it doesn't take up that much
mythea
mythea11mo ago
he has his fps capped and it's usual to see like 20 fps drop sometimes anyway he has gsync on
Jer
Jer11mo ago
i mean my old ryzen 5 3600 can handle 200 fps, and it doesn't even reach 50% usage
mythea
mythea11mo ago
so frame drops don't really affect his experience
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
141 is capped? how u uncap then
mythea
mythea11mo ago
u are using gsync right
Jer
Jer11mo ago
disable gsync it caps when u turn on reflex u gotta either disable gsync or disable reflex
mythea
mythea11mo ago
framedrops won't affect ur experience if u have gsync on unless it went under 48
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
i already turned it off i think it worked a lil bit
Jer
Jer11mo ago
how much fps ur getting now
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
well i think i had to reset my game cuz its still 141 when i changed it to 144 in c panel
mythea
mythea11mo ago
reflex or Nvidia ultra low latency
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
wheres that
Jer
Jer11mo ago
reflex is in valorant settings I think in the graphic settings
mythea
mythea11mo ago
if u want optimal experience and performance, 1. enable gsync, cap ur fps under monitor refresh rate, this is for tearing free 2. use backlight strobing/blur motion reduction technology, gsync off, this is for optimal mprt response time(motion blur and also boost on reflex is known to have weird issues ON only works just fine & unless u can feel the lag else there's no problem everything is just placebo framedrops are normal, unless it dipped really much some scenarios are heavier to render, and it's pretty common on cpu intensive games such as val, csgo as long as it doesn't affect ur experience it's okay
Lun
LunOP11mo ago
sry im in a comp rn lol k so i may have fixed it rn i have on and boost in control panel or ingame yea in fortnite i would cap this in 120fps but it would also drop maybe it will be better now that i have gsync off
mythea
mythea11mo ago
game's engine fps limiter works better
Lun
