FINALLY
BRO
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, MY ENTIRE TEAM HAD IT TOO!!
I WAS SURE IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE GAME AND NOT MY GPU
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
does it usually liek this?
How much hz is ur monitor
If 60 , thats the issue
144
bro that's literally not related at all
Are you mad
^yea i feel like that too lol
.-.wtf
no, you're just wrong bro
Try to play at 60 hz monitor
You will know
what?
I'm just trying to ask this guy's problem, why are you asking his monitor
Because monitor is issue
@Lun does it usually drop like that? or only happened to that match?
If its 60 hz
But its 144
same i also have the problem
nope, not related
every game in general tbh
Bro your crazy , you have the same issue and you will fix his problem?
turns out I dont
cuz it only happened to me once
and it happened to my entire team
which is weird, I asked val support they also can't recreate it
soemone said that if u have a nvidia gpu go back to the driver version 537
the frame drops were reduced but they were still there and i had a lot of input delay
the thing which solved it for me was lowering my res
and i capped my fps to 70
turn on rawInputBuffer in settings
it was already enabled
nvidia reflex ?
put it on "on + boost"
i think its on 'on' rn
use + boost
ok
u play with fullscreen right?
yes
find the valorant .exe,
should be on this directory if you use default directory:
C:\ Riot Games\ VALORANT\ live
is this a frame drop fix im confused...
then right click on valorant. exe
properties -> compatibility
then check this box, then apply
screen optimisation?
oh
no, lol
sry
what ur gpu?
i enabled it but then when i want to tab out of val it doesnt let me
so i disabled it
but does it really help if it does ill turn it back on
brand or entirely
entirely
well reduce tabbing out, it makes your game fps drops too
rtx 3070 ti
ok ill enable it again ty
okay something isn't right if that gpu fps drops
EEXACCTLY
i thought it was my cpu idefk
I guess you're on around 400fps ?
i just also st arted overclocking and idk if its any better
wym
how much it drops?
well i cap it at 141 cuz of gsync
and it goes to like
oh
135
128
and instantly goes back like normal
do you put your graphics on max?
lolno
u think gsync is the reason for fps drops
isnt that normal or its just me 🥲
hell na
not normal for 3070 lol
you need to keep ur frames 141
or 144
oh lol
or for u 70
never for it to go down
i don't think so
if you turn off gsync, 3070 should easily gives 400 fps
dropping to 128 isn't right
okay try disable your gsync first
uuuuggghh
here we go
brb
gsync won't cap ur fps
but if u have ultra low latency or reflex on
while using gsync
it will cap ur fps
under monitor refresh rate like 3-6hz
for optimal latency
it's also best to cap ur fps to not more than ur monitor refresh rate if u use gsync
ya thats why i do 141
and it's usual to see frame drops during a fight
obv
becuz heavier loads
3070 bro
3070 128fps?
but he 3070 xd
nah bro
val is more cpu intensive
true
3070 is overkill for val btw
if u play on all low
yeah but it doesn't take up that much
he has his fps capped
and it's usual to see like 20 fps drop sometimes
anyway he has gsync on
i mean my old ryzen 5 3600 can handle 200 fps, and it doesn't even reach 50% usage
so frame drops don't really affect his experience
141 is capped?
how u uncap then
u are using gsync right
disable gsync
it caps when u turn on reflex
u gotta either disable gsync or disable reflex
framedrops won't affect ur experience if u have gsync on
unless it went under 48
i already turned it off
i think it worked
a lil bit
how much fps ur getting now
well i think i had to reset my game cuz its still 141 when i changed it to 144 in c panel
reflex
or Nvidia ultra low latency
wheres that
reflex is in valorant settings
I think in the graphic settings
if u want optimal experience and performance,
1. enable gsync, cap ur fps under monitor refresh rate, this is for tearing free
2. use backlight strobing/blur motion reduction technology, gsync off, this is for optimal mprt response time(motion blur
and also boost on reflex is known to have weird issues
ON only works just fine
&
unless u can feel the lag
else there's no problem
everything is just placebo
framedrops are normal, unless it dipped really much
some scenarios are heavier to render, and it's pretty common on cpu intensive games
such as val, csgo
as long as it doesn't affect ur experience
it's okay
sry im in a comp rn lol
k so i may have fixed it
rn i have on and boost
in control panel or ingame
yea in fortnite i would cap this in 120fps
but it would also drop
maybe it will be better now that i have gsync off
game's engine fps limiter works better
