They're both very nice, I prefer the second personally but am not mad at either as long as the measurements are right for what you're looking for

If you want an exact jacket he wore in the 70s, a little bit of googling reveals a type 3 levis denim jacket, which are both plentiful and cheap

George Harrison is pretty obviously wearing a type 3 in those photos. The jackets you linked are Weangler denim jackets (which I think are cooler tbh). The one with the corduroy collar/lining looks a bit more like a storm rider which kinda reads a bit more cowboy but it’s not that big of a difference tbh. I like the cord collar more but it’s up to you!

I just want to call out this great set of photos to clearly communicate the vibe you want. This is insanely helpful.

I also second what @Guatemalean Toupee - fb welc said. He's wearing a type 3/trucker jacket in those photos which isn't the style you linked originally. I also agree that the jacket you've picked is cooler

ended up going for the left hand option, it feels similar enough to a type 3 that it’s picked up but equally different enough to be my own flare on it. thanks all for the help!
