Is it lubed?
Sounds like binding
Wait, the lead screw needs to be lubed?
If you are talking about the bearing or the rail, they are lubed.
lube your screw
It will thank you.
You are joking right?
Yeah, sounds like metal on plastic binding
I feel like you are need to lube your leadscrew. Just like your rails.
On the other hand, what made you think you didn't have too?
Because I have never heard of an instance where a screw is lubed. What kind of grease should I use?
Any bearing lube will do just fine
What did you use to lube your bearings and rails?
Since lead screws aren't moving that fast you won't need something fancy
Even silicone spray will do
I used white lithium grease but if I don't need anything special I will just spray some WD-40 on it. Thanks.
WD40 isn't an actual lubricant
Is helps loosen stuff, but not good for long term lubrication
Use the lithium grease
Noted, thanks
This is ok right?
Good👍🏻
Little Tip: Home the printer and them let the z axis move up slowly and spray small doses above the z block so it get distributed evenly
Did it work?
