purge line/poop placement will not update after overriding probe offsets

i cannot find the files inside RatOS that specifiec this placement. right now it poops besides the printbed.. it works but not as good as it used to. Maybe it is also due to setting up sensorless homing? could be..

You should correct your endstop position / position_min and position_max under [stepper_x] and [stepper_y] in your user override section. The problem isn't the prime placement, the problem is X_MIN/X_MAX/Y_MIN/Y_MAX isn't within your build plate 🙂

IF for some reason you'd rather risk printing outside the build plate and just move the prime location, you can do so with these variable: https://os.ratrig.com/docs/configuration/macros#nozzle-priming
Configuring RatOS Macros | RatOS
RatOS comes with a bunch of flexible predefined macro's that can be customized via variables and macro hooks.

thank you! suggestion: maybe includude it in the sensorless homing cfg by default? since y sensorless homing is pretty much defined by the v-minions design?

Sensorless homing is a global template and will always require manual position adjustment.

ok understandable

I am wondering, now with V-Core4 where print head can reach well into the negative Y, is is possible to move the nozzle prime on the lip of the build plate, it is a bit easier to remove (and less likely to forget as it is more obvious). I am guessing it is doable by manipulating the cfg file, it would be nice to be able to not have to alter the otherwise read-only file. Is it possible to override these variables in printer.cfg somehow? Though - I am guessing prime blob can be tricky to be done horizontally due to possible collision with the toolhead duct?

Yes, in fact it's intended 😄 You could do:
[gcode_macro RatOS]
variable_nozzle_prime_start_x: 190
variable_nozzle_prime_start_y: -5
[gcode_macro RatOS]
variable_nozzle_prime_start_x: 190
variable_nozzle_prime_start_y: -5
on a 400mm for example, that should put it on the lip of your plate.

Would it do horizontally oriented prime?

Shit i forgot, it only does that in IDEX mode currently. But we could probably add an option for this.

That would be awesome! I think many folks would love to have the prime relocated there.

yeah it makes sense if the plate has the lip
