issue with deploying probe
Hi,
The printer is making beautiful prints and I'm happy with it. But sometimes if my toolhead is on 400x 400y and I run the probe deploye ( Euclid ) the motors seems to fail steps. Here is a video for demonstrating the issue. I'm running at 4500mm/s

4500 mm/s is really high. It seems to be skipping steps while trying to deploy your Euclid. Try to lower your speeds until it does work properly
thanks for your answer,
4500 is high for a ratrig ? I bought 2k€ for the speed and the size of the machine ... how can 4500 ( limits of my input shaper ) can be too high ?
4500 mm/s^2 (acceleration, not speed) is pretty average, maybe even on the low side for a V-Core (mine runs at least at 10k acceleration, though I've ran it with accelerations above 32k)
Speed-wise, you can expect values of 250-300 mm/s to be normal. Those are pretty fast already, and with good tuning you can probably go even faster
If you want to go even faster, you can switch your XY motors over to 48V (though that definitely requires some major modding and likely a different mainboard) or even go to AWD mods
thanks and yeah sorry for the bad info about speed... yeah i was talkin about Accel hahaha not speed. and well i tried to go further than 4500 but input shapers gave vibrations if i go further than 4500 accel
For my problem it goes away if i disable the stealchop mode. so noisier but better perfs now
i had stealthchop treshold at 1
Ah yes, for speed you should probably use the fast preset of RatOS. But don't forget to make sure you have a fan blowing air over your stepper motor drivers
yes i have one.
you run at 10k accel with standard gantry ?
i mean only my Y axis is low the X is good enough
I have a 300 so YMMV, but I've run my ratrig at 30k accel
Skipping I got at high speeds mainly, not high accel
So you can try to limit your speed to help there
ok ok ty
