Manta M8P DFU Mode

Configurator says to hold boot and press reset. That didn't work for me, actually I had to hold Boot, then power on and release boot.

Strange, my board's DFU worked following the configurator instruction.

...then power on...
yes, the board needs to be on for flashing. If it is powered, the instructions work correctly

Because your board wasn't powered.

Ok it's hard to argue now, because it does work now 😄 But be assured that it was turned on, otherwise it wouldn't have been possible for me to see the dfu state in the RatOS configurator

Someone with the same problem but on a Manta E3EZ: https://github.com/bigtreetech/Manta-E3EZ/issues/2

How To put board in DFU Mode · Issue #2 · bigtreetech/Manta-E3EZ
the usual reset + boot button method does NOT put the board in DFU mode, making it impossible to update firmware via STM32Programmer

If this state was "not detected" then yes you would. That just means there's no DFU device detected. It doesn't have to be powered to not be detected 😄

Well the configurator is running on CM4 that draws its power from the Manta board or am I getting something wrong
