mcu shutdown - lost communication
I’ve been battling this random problem and assumed the high cpu usuals of ffmpeg via webcamd was the cause.
Reading that RatOS2 with crowsnest can use the GPU of the RasPi and stream videos without cost, so I took the jump to RatOS2
All looked okay except CPU usage by crowsnest was higher than my earlier problem.
Sure enough 2 days into a four day print I get the crash.
I installed a new USB cable, claimed to be high quality between boards.
I’m running Obico self hosted server.

Have I understood correctly that RatOS2 with crowsnest should run better than RatOs1 with webcamd ?

Furthermore, here is my versions:
I confirmed that my Raspi is a 3B v1.2 and it has the GPU, and crowsnest.log indicates its happy to run in camera-streamer mode.
I tried lowering the framerate from 30 to 10 and suddenly the problem I thought I'd got rid of, ffmpeg heavy usage, is back. Whyu is it needed for camera-streamer
I'm sorry i can't provide much assistance as to the internal workings of Crowsnest, it's a mainsail project, i'd suggest asking on the Mainsail server, they're much more qualified to help 🙂
