Database location (country)
Hi, in order to respect laws in France, we need to have our DB in european country, and in France if possible. How do I know where the DB is located ?

If you host a database on railway on hobby plan then it's probably in us-west
I recommend using an exteranl service for databases instead for now
This is Pro Plan
Is it possible to ask for a migration to a EU located DB ?
oh if you're on pro plan then I'm pretty sure your db will be hosted where you set your region to
but probably best wait for someone who's completely sure to confirm
I do not find where I can set the region
On pro plan you can change it here
in your deployment settings
Thank you ! But my choices are unselectable
Make sure you're on your pro / teams plan account
I am
I dont know why my name here on Discord says I'm in Hobby Plan since I am in Team Pro plan since 3 weeks
that's weird
Maybe someone else has any ideas
if all else fails then a conductor can flag a team member for you
is your project on your team?
Yes
PB
do /beta
oh yea I forgot about that

"/beta" : "Something went wrong. Please try again." 😅
try going to your railway dashboard, press
ctrl + k
( or cmd + k
on mac ) to open command pallete
from there you can scroll down to utility and then from there you can join priority boardingWell it seems that it worked despite the error message because I was now able to redeploy in other region.
Thank you very much every body for your time and help !
The "Something went wrong" is quite curious, though
it's done this for a long while now
@Marc re: the missing badge: percy is currently only setup to detect team owners, and unfortunately doesn't detect users who are a part of a team like you, I've manually given you the badge
Thanks

you can join beta (priority boarding) from the dashboard's command pallet, open it with ctrl / cmd + k, search for
join
and click the resulting itemDone. But I tried again here to see if something changed
are you not able to change regions?
It works now 🙂
thats an old plugin, you cant move them around regions, you would first need to migrate it to a v2 database to then be able to move it across regions
Thank you !
no prob!
Hi ! There is an issue with the DB. It seems that it is not running but I can still access it by using my client. How could it be possible ?
Well it seems that it was due tu the public wifi connection
yeah public/school/etc internet very often has firewalls that block non standard ports
