1.3 mm vs 2 mm Cuban Chain Necklace?
Eyeing silver chain necklaces from Miansai right now, it's my first time buying a chain!
Wondering what is the recommendation for the thickness of the necklace
- Leaning toward the 1.3 mm one but I'm not sure if that's too thin?
I'm looking to wear this necklace on its own (ie: without other necklaces), looking for a minimalistic vibe
- Don't want the chain to be too big or stand out too much, but still want it to be visible

Both are pretty thin for a cuban, in general you'll see those start closer to 4mm
The other thing to pay attention to is the length; try cutting a piece of string or yarn to the length you want and see how it sits on your neck. The chains you linked are slightly longer at 22 and 24 inches, you might decide you want a shorter chain closer to 18-20"
Personally I haven't been super satisfied with Miansai--I would recommend looking at Mejuri and Sarraf for silver chains. Sarraf has great prices but their website is confusing. However you can get a chain with the same stats for $50 and I can attest to their quality being higher than Miansai

Since you're wearing this on its own with a minimalist style I think you should get a shorter, thicker chain. A long thin one like you linked would look better with drapier, long silhouettes, a la yohji
agree with everyone on going shorter. you can probably find some good and possibly cheaper and better made stuff from independent jewelers on etsy or something
not worth rolling the dice on Etsy dropshippers tbh
yeah but those are usually pretty easy to spot vs the actual jewelers. in any case, something better than miansai shouldnt be too tough to find

I say just go straight to Sarraf
Or go to your local jeweler. They're buying stuff from Rio Grande or Stuller but you can at least try it on before you buy it
