more casual ties?
I currently have these 3 ties, they go great with my navy worsted wool suit but I feel they don't really vibe with my sport coats that well. I'm a little lost on what colours and patterns would work nicely with the coats I have even after reading the guide on here and the PTO articles

and these are the sport coats in question
I think you look great as is without a tie
thanks :) I'm aware these can be worn without ties and am happy to wear them without ties
but I want to try some ties anyway
for fun
I've seen some cool fits like this: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1165827294393270352
I like texture and plain colors probably grenadine or knit is where you can start. Print is another level though
Love a black knit tie in casual tailoring like this fit here https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1173838167728722012
I like ties with fun little motifs like this duck tie I have
Check pumaturtle's WAYWTs for many examples of small motifs like that
I’d recommend hitting your local thrifts/vintage shops, I always find at least one or two wild ties whenever I go
I'm gonna link some of the ones I own and consider more casual, as inspiration, soon. I rarely go for emblems/motifs myself, though.
I recommend trying some knit ties. Plenty on eBay, and also Tie Bar. Something like this looks like it would go well with the outfits in your pics: https://www.thetiebar.com/product/tie-3011-0054

I love my black silk knit tie
Other -- a self-herringbone, tattersall, and diagonal-grid pattern

For your three gray sportcoats, I like:
- Paisley, especially madder, black, etc. Some colors might be too bright.
- Repps: some are much more sedate, some are much bolder. I'd avoid grays in general (too similar tonally) but otherwise, keep em bright and happy and it's pretty casual. Others can be quite conservative. Also some diagonal stripe patterns can be done without actual stripe, eg, the lilac self-herringbone is all one color, but the texture makes it somewhere near a striped tie without really being one.
- Blues: can run the gamut from casual to conservative; country patterns are casual, but like, in a more classy way than some of what I have seen.
- Browns: fall colors to match textured gray
thank you very much!
here's some I'm eying on the second hand market (all 100% silk except No. 6 which is 100% wool)
This is from my favourite vinted tie seller! watch out of I'll buy it before you do
any feedback on the other ties?
I'd look thru @The Teenage Gentleman lol 's fits and blog. He has a lot of info about different ties
casual ties are fun, to me thats mainly knits and stripes
