Navy Blazer fit check (too big?)

Hey y’all! I thrifted this cashmere navy blazer a bit ago and was wondering if it fits. I’m not really planning on using it as a traditional blazer for formal events or the office and stuff, but just as a casual outer layer. To me it feels pretty big and too long, and it seems like there’s a bunch of excess fabric in the back (which could be tailored?). The shoulders are also pretty structured and go past my natural ones which I’m not sure is desirable or not. Wondering if it works or if I should get rid of it!

Oops forgot to button my collar down, shame upon me and my ancestors 😭😭

I think the slightly extended shoulder works and it's a reasonable length, maybe half an inch longer than ideal but not worrisome. A bit of tightening at the waist and you'll be fine.

It's pretty great imo! I'd let it marinate for a while before deciding on whether to get it taken in Only thing that concerns me is the back vent looks a bit odd, almost as if it's shut at the bottom?

I think it’s due to too much fabric in the back and how thick it is, causing the vent to stick out like that. Thanks though, I’ll probably try to wear it for a while first before deciding to tailor it or not

Yeah try a few fits and wear it out once or twice

Is it unvented? Or does it in fact have a center vent that's just sitting oddly

It has a weird center vent yep

Looks pretty big in the upper back. Tons of extra fabric

Looks like the back has a drape cut, if that makes sense. I think body length is fine actually.

Could you elaborate? I’m not super familiar different jacket cuts

That was me being a little bit cheeky, don't worry about it Anyways it would do best with a visit to a tailor, I suspect taking in some at the back would be a good move, and fixing the rear vent along with it.
