Lots of corruption/dirty
After not touching my Vcore 3.1 500 for a while, it now looks like this. Does this look like an SD card issue or something else? There is a very small chance the Pi got knocked by something, but it's impossible to know.

yeah, unless you have been updating or mucking around with those files it looks like a bad sd card
save what you need quickly, and get a new SD card and do a new install of RatOS

Dont have a spare SD so Im reflashing RatOS to the same one hoping it's a temporary corruption
never heard of that brand - get something good like sandisk or samsung

Why would this have happened on an idle printer...
usually SD cards fail so that they become read only, but may not always work

flash storage - they describe as keeping the state by trapping a air bubble inside of a jar of honey... It is complex and amazing it works at all

Rat-OS should handle that automatically for you since you flashed it using the configurator and it knows how to update it if needed

Note for the future: You can use a USB stick instead of an SD card if that makes it easier 🙂
