Is it worth it to get Charles Tyrwhitt shirts tailored?

Sorry, this isn't exactly a fashion thread but would it be worth it to get these shirts tailored? Got em for the usual 3 for $99. I won't be wearing em too often so I think they would last longer than most

Tightening up the sleeves and maybe the torso

I say it's worth altering if you can't find something that fits good off the rack. I've even gotten cheaper shirts from banana republic or department store brands (Neiman, nordstrom) taken in and shortened - the cleaner look of a nicely tailored shirt makes a big difference

sounds good. Think ill shop around for some tailors. Guess my biggest gripe was just that it might be weird to spend the same or more on tailoring an item than the actual item

it wont be if you like the end result and wear it often worth it or not depend on how often you reach for that item

Also even adding the alterations you will most likely have shirts that are better than shirts in that extended price range. I've always liked CT most for shirts in the range of up to 80-100€/$

I am for a specific fit and for me it's math: cost of buying + cost of tailoring versus another option. If you buy them for $33/each and tailor them for (eg) another $30, the question is, is there a shirt for $63 (price + tailoring if relevant) that is overall better? If not, then go for it, it's obviously price efficient and you like the result. I got a sport coat for $5 (+$12 shipping) and spent like $80 to tailor it, which I'm not entirely sold was the right move, but it's not like I had a $100 alternative that would have fit better or looked better, so, eh, why not? Maybe in the future I will find an overall better one, but at the time it was what made sense to do, because the total cost was worth the result to me.
