Hotend seems to be running hotter than reported

I've been printing lots of good looking prints of TPU on my V Minion for quite some time. Suddenly, I hear crackling during printing and get very rough looking prints with sagging bridges and rough porous walls. I lower the temp from 240 to 220 and then get decent looking prints again. And yes, I dry my filaments. This issue happened overnight. What's going on?

is this happening with other filaments as well? Easy way to check if its your tpu or your hotend / something else

Yep, it's definitely the thermistor or something:

It'll say its 200C and then 250C

I would continue very carefully so you dont burn out your hotend! CHeck your thermistor wiring, maybe exchange for a new one?

Yeah I've checked the wiring, all is fine. Even switched to using a different sensor header. I put some boron nitride paste on the thermistor cartridge to see if that will help. print was going fine until another "not heating at expected rate error"

Seems like you need a new thermistor. I don't think its your heater cartridge as you get almost vertical temperature spikes

I ran another PID tune after reseating the thermistor cartridge with the boron nitride paste and it seems back to normal. I'm not sure if I wiggled a wire back into place or if the better thermal conductivity fixed it.
