LOD chunks are brighter than normal ones.
No clue how this happened, probably just a setting change, doubt this is a bug. Either way I'd be grateful for any fixes mentioned.

They're as bright as day during night too, not just during weather changes
Also LOD chunks in the nether don't appear to have proper lighting either.

I feel like your water is just extra transparent for some reason, that's how the lod for the water looked back in 1.0.
Lighting has been fixed in the overworld and nether in recent update, disregard this post. Dark chunks remain but they're fixed by being walked back over to.

is this confirmed as a bug yet?
That's what I saw in the nether with the dark spots I mentioned.
As for brightened chunks they still seem to be an issue, but only in the sense that they don't change from standard day ligthing. They're perfectly fine in the day, but they don't darken at night when the sun sets.
