Problems with an new Build

Hello! Unfortunately I have a few problems with my vcore3.1. An Octopus Pro 446 with the ebb 42 toolboard is installed. The setup has worked very well according to the instructions so far. But now when I try to drive any motor I get the message: Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_x' register IFCNT Strangely, both fans don't work. the 4028 is connected to the Octo and the hotend fan to the toolboard. Anyone ideas why this is happening? Grettings!

sounds like a wiring issue(s). also make sure your driver is seated down completely

Thanks in advance for the answer! If we assume that a driver is not seated correctly or one of the cables to the stepper motors is not crimped correctly, would it then be normal that it does not respond to all drivers? Would you consider that the drivers and the fans are two completely separate problems?

I would think they are different issues, but both related to wiring. Are all the drivers not working, or is it just X?

All of the drivers are giving the same message and clipper shuts down

can you take a picture of your wiring and upload it here?

The Stepper Problem is fixed, i placed the jumpers according to the 1.1 diagram not the 446 -.- I will tidy up some cables and upload a picture here later! Thanks! There were several problems with the wiring, that was correct 🙂 Now everything works with minor problems. The 4028 now starts when you turn on the printer and turns off when klipper has booted. However, it cannot be regulated but can only be turned on and off with the general fan slider. I think it's due to an error in the cfg. Could you take another look and see if you notice anything?

I did read about that but the workaround with the black cable at he01 didn't worked at all for me is everything alright with the fan section of the cfg? Or do wen have to define a second fan section for the Hot end fan?

no, lines 170-173 should be moved to USER OVERRIDES section. also, if you are going to use the enable pin, you need to correctly wire the fan - see the wiring diagram in https://os.ratrig.com/docs/guides/4028#my-fan-runs-at-100-until-klipper-boots DO NOT TOUCH lines 298-323 when you put things in your USER OVERRIDES section

Looks like you pulled off the stepper motor power jumpers between the driver slot and motor cable header. Drivers aren't getting any power, hence the error. You might've been looking at the Octopus diagram instead of the Octopus Pro (which is the one you have).

That was exactly the Problem!
