What is the functional difference between Tenants and Organizations?
I read through the documents and it seems to me like there is a bit of overlap between Tenants and Organizations. I know that there is still work in progress for Tenants. But as it stands now, I do not see what the functional difference is.
Based on the UI, I know I can create multiple Organizations which gives me the ability to define different channels, workflows, etc. for each org. However, unless I am missing something, I do not need any organization information to create a trigger. (Please correct me if I am wrong.)
If you do not mind, will you please provide a little more detail on the differences between the two and how they should be used?
Thanks!

Hi @Todd H.
I do not need any organization information to create a trigger. (Please correct me if I am wrong.)When you trigger a workflow, you need to use api Key, environment and organisation is identified by this api Key
I see. Thank you for pointing that out to me. I have been playing around with the functionality based on the first organization I created and that is working great. I created a second org just to play around with the data in Novu. I did not send any triggers to it. But that makes sense.
currently tenant has very less capabilities, but with upcoming releases it will unlock possibility of multi tenancy usecase
you will be able to create tenants per organisation and assign subscribers to those tenants
Cool. Thanks for the info.
I would like to suggest that you move the Organization drop down to the top of the left navigation pane. For me, when I think about how the data is structured, an organization is a top level element. I select that then start going through the workflow and other settings. Having it at the bottom, at least for me, seems like you go through all of the other items first, then select an org. I think it would flow better, but that is just my humble opinion.
@Todd H., you just advanced to level 5!
Thanks Tood
We will consider this and add organisation in left menu
I agree it will make it easy to understand
