These beautiful mistakes that I can't figure out how to pair with anything. I need to lean into rule breaking like wearing shoes lighter than the rest of the outfit. Recently learned how to wear black with brown so maybe someday I'll get there.
Maybe multiple threads is the way to go for this?
I have obviously been able to style everything I’ve bought. But if I were unable to style something (hypothetically of course) it would be these diemme boots that I think are sick (others may disagree)
Snagged a manresa oysterman sweater in natural. Planning to wear it my my fatigues and washed denim but looking for other pant suggestions. Damn discord murdered that poor picture so here’s the link: https://manresaclothing.com/products/the-oysterman-sweater-in-natural
Unfortunately not possible as this is already a thread within the spotlight channel, and Discord doesn't have threads within threads. We'll have to make do
I think it'd go great with lots of cords as well
I don't think these are a mistake. "Shoes lighter than the rest of the outfit" is only really a problem for stuffier dress codes like coat-and-tie business casual. I think these can be styled similarly to a snuff plain toe blucher - jeans, chinos, fatigues, or wool trousers. Ethan has a nice article here https://alittlebitofrest.com/2018/12/06/wearing-bluchers-and-derbies/
I like the look of that sweater, I feel like it would go with alot of casual pants. I dont know the brand, is it made in New England? website dosnt specify that
mustard chinos, brown cords, or gray/brown flannel trousers?
Brown cords is a good call. May be too slouchy for me to wear with flannel trousers - I feel like the cut you’d need to make it work isn’t for me.
Not sure where it’s made tbh
Yeah true, they'd have to be a relaxed fuller cut to go with the sweater. I've seen some pairs out there but don't have any myself unfortunately
Would be dope with some EG trousers
I take that bag the care tag says made in China. Kind of makes me question the price but they are pretty limited runs
you could also def wear this with baggies, weather permitting
I need some Birkenstocks because this screams for them
This is begging for a neckerchief and jaunty beret
Baggy drawstring linen trousers and espadrille
Or cords and muck boots
Some kinda fisherman vibes
I can't help too much except to say that thsoe are cool. I have some Anatras that I'm unsure how to style once the weather goes bad.
This shirt. I essentially style it like this model, with a pair of white wide leg pleated trousers, or a pair of white linen shorts, or the fit you see above. Any other avenues I could go down?
I wish I could just casually wear muck boots around because cords and muck boots is the perfect vibe for it
Would love for yall to take a whack at these. I think they are my most overthought item to the point where i hardly wear them. The lack of heel makes me feel odd when wearing with flares even though i know thats pretty silly. The super tall shaft makes me want to only wear them with more cropped pants even though i dont like wearing cropped pants all that much
This is a more recent fit with them that i felt was pretty successful
To add on - i think one thing that challenges me possibly the most is the color, but also its part of why i like them so much
blundstones are the muck boots for us bourgeousie
would love these with huge, balloonish tapered black pleated trousers. Like jodhpur pants. pants tucked in to boots
Like some breeches?
Maybe a long grey or black skirt, or some hakama type pants
Yeah
I think some black trousers might be interesting to see with this
Split hem trousers would make use of the tall boots without going cropped.
Unfortunately I do not wear black 😦
Havent considered this before!!
Definitely the carrot cut or baloon trouser could be interesting to play with. The tuck is something i wpuld have played with more but the shaft is too tight to get pants under
I’ve had luck altering the silhouette of slacks that were too tapered for my taste by seam ripping the bottom 12 inches or so of the inside seam, just make sure to reinforce where you want the slit to stop with some very strong stitches if you don’t want to rip the rest of the leg open up to the crotch when you step on the hem while climbing stairs while on a first date… research shows.
You could try some ties or cinches instead of actually tucking into the boots
The pants in this fit actually just have elastic in the hems, they’re not tucked in
Ooh good thought
I think you can get like boot blouses or whatever theyre called
I think the streetwear kiddos always used to want to know how kanye did his pant over boot thing and that was the answer
This thick tie and this reverse stripe button up
The shirt is pretty big on me
Please help
The shirt reads antique nightshirt to me, which i would push for the twee vibes and then contrast with some hard footwear. Bloomers and combat boots?
Gucci fall 2019 has some cool wide tie inspo.
Wide tie with the big shirt and some oversized pants
Long shirt I'd pair with wider pants, something with volume even if cropped, and a top layer of some sort. Either a cropped jacket or looong coat to play off proportion but anything that doesn't hit the waist is fine. If all else fails that much shirt length makes it better to tuck or you can wear it as a long shacket before it gets too chilly out.
bless thank you guys 🙏
I bought this a couple of years ago before I really thought about if stuff was wearable or not. Like it too much to resell, but no idea how to style it
I’m thinking black pants tbh
For long shirt maybe try buttoning it less, especially at the bottom. Rolling sleeves up can also lend some balance potentially?
🙏🙏
Yeah I think so. I'll try a few things out later. Hard thing is trying to figure out what if anything to wear under it
White rib tank could be good. Or some sort of mesh tank
Second the mesh, layering translucency is a cool effect. Or maybe a different striped garment underneath could combine well.
Ooh nice, thanks a lot.
