What is the velocity limit imposed by ratos
Hey everyone. What is the speed limit imposed by ratos before enabling the performance mode in printer.cfg?

??? only speed limit is pulse count rate when it starts skipping! THAT can be dependent on how smooth your system moves, size of printer etc etc. There is no 'limit' imposed' by RatOS.
If any...the 'switch over' point for performance or higher volts (going from 24 to 48V) is more acceleration vs actual speed. The pulse rate (speed) is what your steppers and hardware can handle only.

I think he's referring to max velocity limits that RatOS sets when you are configuring it. For the basic limits it is set at 200mm/s and for performance configs it increases to 1000mm/s.
If you want to check them, on mainsail navigate to the RatOS/printers/v-core-3 folder. In there you will find speed-limits-basic.cfg and speed-limits-performance.cfg. these contain the setting for each mode. Do not edit these files.
Thank you both. Does the sliced file gcode take precedent over the value set in mainsail?
