What would you include in the Socks Starter Pack?
Basically, I have been wearing random cheap quarter length multicoloured bright socks for the last 6 years and now I want to actually buy quality socks that would be versatile and fit with outfits. Do I just get a pack of black and white socks as a base or are there other colours that I should consider too?
Also - recommendations for good sock brands would be appreciated

Don't wear white socks. Rule of thumb is to pick a color that matches your pants, to elongate your legs, but that rule can be broken. I've found that mid-grey and charcoal goes with a lot of my pants, too. Uniqlo's color socks are a great starter (and advanced) option.
Traditionally you would match your trousers. Any neutral is fine (navy, charcoal, gray etc). White or other socks can be fun in certain fits, but you should know what you're doing.
For formal stuff I have navy, grey, and dark purpl (for fun)
I have cream for casual and then white for super casual
