How can I protect my modded server from cheaters?

I’m using a modded server and I want to see if there are any measures at all I can take to protect my server my hacking. I’ll do pretty much anything for a little more protection. It’s a forge server by the way.

There's not much in the ways of anti cheat on forge servers. Forge servers aren't "really" intended on being "large" and public

You can definitely get an anticheat made, but it’s gonna be an expensive and long process

Easier way imo is to just do a better job at monitoring ur players, and then punish them after they cheat

You can just use the vanilla spectator game mode

But yeah, if you only have 2 mods… what are the mods? Sounds like a really easy fix to switch over to fabric on 1.20 where you will have much more luck

IMO (this is just my opinion) avoid forge as hard as possible. Only ever use forge if you “have” to. Only reason for me to ever touch forge is if I’m on an older version playing an older mod that has no fabric alternative.

All my friends who have said that exact response, can’t actually come up with a reason. It’s mainly just people being stubborn thinking it’s too much work to change.

So far, pmuch stuff like pixelmon, or super older version of Minecraft are the only reason to be on forge

yeah but as i said, there are fabric alternatives for those mods, things like modern industrialization, tech reborn, industrial revolution, etc. yeah they are bit different, but they fit the niche. Plug there are OTHER new unique mods.

and the SUPER mods, like ae2, create, etc, do have fabric versions.

so like when u ask people to start listing reasons, they just fall apart, and BARELY can come up with just a few mods, (excluding pixelmon, or much older versions of mc)
