No that information isn't sent to the server unless using forge.
and even then could be spoofed ^^
But some mods do send custom packets to the server, ofc only mods that could interact with the server could be detected with this so you wont be able to detect hackclients and stuff
Those are exceptions to the rule. Things like xaeros' minimap, world downloader, etc send packets to the server for advanced functionality.
yea
What mod you want to ban?
this one
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/cat-eyes-night-vision-toggle-mod
i have a minigame in which blindness is essential
There’s a LOT of mods that do this
And u can’t ever really detect things like this
Super easy to spoof
You can attempt to enforce people to join with specific clients, it'll deter all but the ones really dedicated to cheating.
Since "most" kids just launch their meteor client and just go in, don't really know how to spoof other clients. It isn't a hard thing to spoof though.
But you host cracked severs sooo probably can't do that.
it’s so simple to spoof a client by just downloading another mod
And those mods are easily available on curseforge
There’s also popular mods that u can modify the blindness affect (optifine/sodium)
And it’s just so bad to block those mods
idk if u can fully make it go away, but I know u can turn it down so it’s not as “blind”
Thanks will try to block clientes
