We Should Celebrate The Fun, Self-Imposed Challenge of Making An Outfit

TL;DR - another Ethan CTA on the joy of making fits and giving yourself a challenge/theme/POV for every outfit you make
its much more interesting than "not being naked" or thinking of tailoring as just workplace attire, but i think this could also apply to other styles too. don't dress just go get by!

Really enjoyed this one. I think this is similar to how I think about getting dressed, though my abilities and thus ambitions are lower. Rather than solving a puzzle like “make a jaunty 40s summer look” I’m just trying to work through things like “how the hell do I wear these chunky loafers” or “what do I need to do to look ok in loose fitting jeans”. Although I don’t write music, I also liked the connection to creating music. It does sometimes feel very creative and generative, and I think that connection captures that well.
Thank you @spicy.ocelot !!
Those are also good challenges! Like I do the same sometimes, but maybe with a bit more of added nuance. Like “how do I wear paraboots but not rely on rugged ivy”
Ooh yeah that’s a nice step up, maybe I’ll give that one a shot once I’m back home with my full wardrobe.
