performance difference between square/pl3xmap, dynmap, bluemap etc
how light weight is squaremap compared to dynmap or bluemap. personally been using all 3 but haven't noticed much of performance increase or decrease from either one. what's your experience with the 3

Dynmap is the least optimizado afaik
Bluemap uses the most storage cuz hi res 3D maps
Dynmap uses looots of storage too
Squaremap is super cool but I never dipped a lot into it
I assume it's the one that uses the least storage
pl3x is the best for me
cause of its performance gain?
yeah perf is pretty good
have yet to test it at >100 playercounts though
shouldnt really even make a difference to have more players but yhh

Minecraft map viewers comparison
pl3x is the fastest + least storage (per map)
pl3x is SUPER intensive on ram upon intial render (but its super fast), after initial render, havent had any ram issues on servers with ~50 peeps.
same with goos, havent personally tested it on larger servers, but dont see why it be an issue
NGL all of them are "very fast after the initial render"
the issue with interactive maps is that they are a plugin which renders using the same hardware you are running your server on.
So it will always have a large impact on perf unless you config it to not constantly update and try to limit it to once a week during the lowest player counts or just render it on separate hardware and have the render server grab the world files via your local network in a read-only setup
with some plugins i know that in the config perf can be improved by offloading it to a dedicated server for rendering or at least relegated to unused threads but idk which one it was.
