MUPEN64 Install

Im trying to install MUPEN64 because retroarch is annoying and i wanna just download it itself, the github page of it is really confusing im not sure where to find it and things so i could use some help

If I were you, I would maybe try Simple64, or Rosalie's Mupen GUI https://github.com/simple64/simple64 https://github.com/Rosalie241/RMG Both are very easy to use and install N64 emulators Mupen64Plus doesn't come with a GUI by default

Also Mupen64 was discontinued in 2002, so Mupen64Plus is the "current version"

retroarch is a pain in the ass for remapping controls and etc and retroarch is a pain in the ass period Ill try simple64 then ive been wanting to play ocarina of time

RetroArch has a long learning curve, but for some cores it is really nice. Simple64 is the easiest to use. I know the developers of Simple64 and RMG personally, both great people 😄

omg a emulator with a easy to find volume slider this is truly a game changer u dont know how many times i just closed emulators not to open them for months simply bc volume was impoissible to get a good hold of in them LOL

It depends on the emulator, but most emulators have some sort of volume control in the GUI

I cant not hear the Ocarina of time file loading menu without thinking about a creepypasta essay about ben drowned lol Anyway tyhanks for the help/recomendation
