Can anyone from Railway tell me how to switch to the automatic payment plan?

OK, Brody. To follow on from what the previous thread you rudely shut down before I was done asking my other follow-up questions (which is allowed)… “1.” is a given. “2.” was not. That “relevant message” is not relevant to the latest question I asked about switching to the auto-payment. I would expect that people on support would be knowledgeable about that sort of thing which is why I asked to find someone who knows. What I’m basically getting from you is that there is no one on Discord who can offer proper support because none of you know anything about how to switch plans, which is what the migration from Developer to Hobby is about.

There is no need to get an attitude when you were provided the information. The minimum requirement for adding credits is $10. When switching to the Hobby Plan, if your fee is not waived, you will easily use all those credits in a few months as the plan now costs $5. If your fee is waived, then you have credits to last you a while as your deployments probably only cost a few cents from what I am gathering.

I wasn’t the one who got an attitude. Brody did which is why I questioned his relationship to Railway. The way he “spoke” was very unprofessional and sounded to me like someone who just picked up the thread and was trying help and then got snarky. That’s why I asked for someone who knew how to switch to the auto plan which he said he didn’t. In the middle of typing a follow-up question, he shut the thread down. Very rude and unprofessional. I understand the plan is $5/mo so my question is still how to switch to the auto plan.

Let me look into it, as I have always been on the usage based plan. All the conductors have been. I’ll report back. And just to note, as a Developer (Now Hobby) plan user, you will only receive community support. If you would prefer support directly from the Team, you can subscribe to the Pro plan, which is $20/user/month, plus any resource usage

Oh, so there is no one from Railway here at all? Not even mods?

The Conductors are the mods. The Team is here as well, but they are focused on what they do best. Building the platform

So a Conductor is not Railway staff, correct?
MantisInABox
MantisInABox16mo ago
No, conductors are not railway staff. We are selected by the staff to help moderate and run the community support

That explains a lot, then. Thanks. I clearly had no idea.

When I have an answer to how you switch from credit to usage based billing, I will report back here and tag you

Great. Thanks.

@babythunderball to switch to a usage based subscription from a credit based subscription, you will need to cancel your existing subscription and sign up again. At this time, this is the only way

Thanks so much for your help, Vin. OK. Thanks, fp. Sorry for the delay. (Had a situation here.) Initial issue has been sorted by someone from the team so I’ll park this for now. Thank you so much for all your help.
