"Move selection to new layer" would be more useful than the current "Copy Selection to New Layer"

I agree with this completely. This would be very useful combined with layer exports to select specific objects out of a scene and use as models or brush stroke collections. Duplication (copy) causes confusion when toggling the view layer icons
