would've loved to look at this link https://www.reddit.com/r/admincraft/comments/mqlagh/best_minecraft_server_software/ but y'all are one of the like 3 subreddits still private so i have to as here. google's cache isn't working for it, by the way.

Pufferfish normal is the answer if u want free
Read pinned message in general to see how to read posts
Pufferfish+ but it's expensive and monthly unless u use their host
making a closed-source server software and then selling it is silly (read: retarded)
i don't want to support that

In order to send that message u had to use a LOT of closed source softwares that you paid for. Yet ur upset about a server jar?
The guy literally makes a free version. Which is one of the goto most optimized server… and it’s free!!! AND yes, it IS open sourced. Pufferfish+ is just like an upgraded version of the jar, and only those upgrades aren’t open source.
And if ur using pufferhost, (which is affordable and good quality) you get pufferfish+ for FREE.
How dare someone work hard on a project then sell it so they can feed their family! (Btw a project that hurts nobody)
Also… the pinned message linking to how to view the post works perfectly! So idk why ur so upset
didn't think of archive.org
i just don't agree with forking an open source project then selling it
I used the pinned message in the channel.
Then use the free open sourced one lmao
Also… purpur is a fork of pufferfish. So by ur morals, u can’t use that one either.
yeah i didn't really plan on it
i'm just gonna use paper i think
Careful, I heard they forked spigot, which forked bukkit. And bukkit got in big trouble and got dmca’d. Seems like every jar isn’t “good faith” !!!
I think ur safest (for ur morales) server jar to use is the one provided by mojang, (if you bought Minecraft, a closed source product, which is built on Java, a free open source product)

cool strawman
Ur logic. Not mine
no that was yours
you forked my logic and made it 💩
True bro. You do u, u can chose whatever u want. It's ok to be wrong
The thing is, it’s not really a fork is it, just patches added
Still, its just patch files
that makes it worse lol
even less original code
youve been given answers so stop compaining
no one is telling you what to use
man replied to me then got mad that i responded back
