Confirmation on parts to work with my new build.
Alrighty so I just want to make sure that these componets, mostly the cpu are going to work well with my 3060. I want to make sure the ryzen 7 5800x im planning on getting will work with my 3060 with near zero bottlenecking. Basically i just want to make sure the gpu is being put to its full capability. The other components im good with and feel like are exactly what i need unless someone thinks there is something that NEEDS to be changed. Basically just want confirmation that this cpu x gpu combo will work great.

If you have the cash to spare, the 5800X3D is a much better buy in terms of gaming perf, but overall you should be fine. I used some Parametric filters to help save some money on the mobo and RAM (The latency on the RAM filter is faster than what you picked out), but feel free to change what you want

Alright i decided to put the 7 5800x3d on there instead, may get this mobo instead https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tr4Ycf/msi-pro-b550m-vc-wifi-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-pro-b550m-vc-wifi
except i cant figure out how many usb 3 ports it has on the back. confuses me
MSI PRO B550M-VC WIFI Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (PRO B550M-VC WIFI)...
MSI PRO B550M-VC WIFI Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (PRO B550M-VC WIFI)
and overall what u think of this board?
I would go for 3200CL16 memory instead of 3600CL18. Not worth to increase speed at the cost of latency, in my opinion
I put 3600 as the min speed, Max CL16
Which PSU exactly will you get? Some models are better tuan others
Yes, 3600CL16 is better, but it's also more expensive, so I guess depends if it fits in the total budget
Only $60
It is very cheap rn
It only has 4 USB 3 ports, 2 10Gbit and 2 5Gbit
I think giving a maximum budget would also help in picking out parts
Thats good cuz i only have 2 on my current pc lol
Gonna be using my 850w i got a while back
defintley overkill but i got it when i didnt know much abt pcs
Ah if you already have it then definitely

Should I be worried about the incompatiliblity thing that comes up? Usually people say its bios issue or smth
You should be fine for the most part. IF for some reason it needs a BIOS update, it does have a CPU-less BIOS update feature
The motherboard might look a little small in your case, but I think you will be fine lol
already used to that 😭 My prebuilt i got years ago had a small mobo ive been using since and transfered to this new case
How would I know if it does need a bios update?
It won't boot if you need a BIOS update
Oof 😅 Good to know
How does one go about the cpu-less bios update feature
Or just the bios update in general
You put the BIOS file you get from the manu's website on a USB drive. They have instructions in their manual or website for it. CPU-less BIOS updates (Also known as BIOS Flashback and a couple of other names) just require the USB drive to be in the system at boot while you hold a button, usually on the real panel IO. Normally you would go through the update in the BIOS
gotcha, thanks
Weird question, ik some cpus lately have gone like pinless? is the cpu im planning on getting one of those
maybe im being stupid idk evhjbevi
AM4 is a PGA platform, so it has pins on the CPU and not the socket. AM5 and Intel's CPUs are LGA, meaning the pins are on the board and the CPUs have pads on them
